Hough Named MAC Cross Country Runner of the Week

AKRON, Ohio – University of Akron sophomore Brad Hough has been named Mid-American Conference Runner of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.
Hough was the Zips' top finisher for the third straight meet last Friday at the All-Ohio Cross Country Championships at Cedarville University. The native of Imperial, Pa., finished the 8k in 25:09.62, which was good for a third-place finish among the 62-runner field.
In all, Hough helped lead the Zips to a third-place finish among nine teams with 94 points. It was the final tune up for the men's team before competing in the MAC Championships on Oct. 29.
The UA women's team will be in action next week when they travel to Penn State to compete in the Penn State National on Oct. 14.
