Baseball To End Fall Practice With Fall World Series

AKRON, Ohio - The clang of aluminum bats and the pop of mitts has been a constant sound at Lee Jackson Field this fall has the University of Akron baseball program has been participating in fall practice.
"We've had a really good session of fall practice," said coach Pat Bangtson. "The guys have put a lot of hard work into improving, both as individuals and as a team , and we are excited about the progress we have made."
The Zips will conclude their fall practice schedule with the annual Fall World Series. This year's series will be held the week of October 4.
"The Fall World Series is a nice way for us to end fall practice," said Bangtson. "It's something the players look forward to each fall and they enjoy the opportunity to compete against each other."
