Zips Fall 4-3 Against Ball State

Muncie, Ind.-The University of
Akron softball team fell 4-3 Saturday in the bottom of the seventh
inning to the Ball State Cardinals. After leading 3-2 through six
in a half innings, BSU scored two runs to get its first
Mid-American Conference win.
UA scored the first run of the day in the top of the fourth
inning starting with a Katrina Moffett double. Junior Cali
Stratton, who went 3-for-3 on the day, would single to drive
her home.
They added two more in the sixth off of a Julie
Boyes RBI and Stratton's second RBI of the day. Ball State
would also add two in the sixth inning.
With the Zips up one in the seventh, Ball State would step to
the plate where they would score two runs to secure the win.
The two teams return to action Sunday when they play a second contest at 1:00 p.m.
