Men's Soccer Has Big Home Matches

AKRON -- The University of Akron men's soccer team will host two key home matches this Sunday at Wednesday, facing the Kentucky Wildcats and the nationally-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes, respectively, at Lee Jackson Field. Game time for Sunday is 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm Wednesday.
Akron (4-2) is coming off a 4-0 vicotry over St. Francis (Pa.) and features the reigning Mid-American Conference Player of the Week, Elliot Bradbrook. Bradbrook, who has a league-best three goals and one assist this season, leads the MAC with his 1.4 point per game. Michael Nanchoff, Steve Kalan and Matt Augustin additionally rank third in the MAC with two assists this season. Also, the Zips rank 37th in the NCAA in scoring 1.83 golas per game.
Kentucky features goalkeeper Dan Williams, who ranks sixth in the NCAA by averaging seven saves per game.Ohio State ranks fifth in the NCAA by averaging 2.67 goals per contest. Also, OSU's Xavier Balc is tied for the nation's lead by averaging one assist per game, getting five in his first five games this season.
