USA Makes it Two Straight over Zips, 13-4

MOBILE, Ala. — South Alabama made it two straight over the Akron baseball Zips with a 13-4 win Saturday afternoon at Eddie Stanky Field. USA improved to 18-3. Akron slipped to 3-5. The two teams play the third and final game tomorrow at 1 p.m.

MOBILE, Ala. (March 9) -- South Alabama plated two runs in the bottom of the eighth to snap a 6-all tie and nip Akron, 8-6, Friday evening in a nonconference college baseball game. USA improves to 17-3. The Zips slip to 3-4. The two teams play again tomorrow and Sunday at 1 p.m. CT.
