Zips Place Five Players on the CSC Academic All-District Baseball Team

GREENWOOD, Ind. - Five members of the Akron baseball team were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team as announced on Tuesday, June 2.
Taylor Bednar, Blake Bowen, Brody Chrisman, Josiah Ross and Landon Vandegrift represented the Akron Zips for the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Baseball Team.
The Academic All-District® Baseball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. Student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games/contests/sets played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the games/contests/sets.
