• Earned All-Americanhonors twice. Placed fifth in the weight throw at the NCAA IndoorChampionships (69-2). Placed eighth in the hammer at the NCAAOutdoor Championships (206-3).

• Garnered All-MideastRegion as the hammer champion during the outdoor season (202-9).Also qualified for the discus and shot put at the Mideast Regional,placing 27th in the discus.

• Named the USTFCCCAGreat Lakes Region Indoor Field Performer of the Year.

• For the secondconsecutive year, named UA’s Caroline J. Pardee FemaleAthlete of the Year, the MAC Indoor and Outdoor Field Performer ofthe Year and the track team’s MVP award.

• For the indoorseason, won the weight throw in seven times and the shot put fourtimes. All of her winning throws were at least an NCAA provisionalqualifying mark.

• Named MAC IndoorField Performer of the Week three times, getting wins in the hammerand shot put at the Akron Quad, the Akron-Kent State Dual Meet andthe Zips Open.

• Tabbed MAC OutdoorField Performer of the Week once, winning the hammer (203-4) andshot put with a school-record distance of 51-10.50. Won the hammera total of five times, adding two wins in the shot put and one inthe discus during the outdoor season.

• Earned Akron’sScholar Baller honor for posting at least a 3.0 GPA for theacademic year, earning Dean’s List recognition during thefall and spring semesters.

as a Sophomore(2007):

• Named UA’sCaroline J. Pardee Female Athlete of the Year as well as the trackteam MVP award.

• Tabbed the MAC Indoorand Outdoor Field Performer of the Year.

• Qualified for theNCAA Outdoor Championships in the hammer, placing 14th(183-3).

• Also participated inthe NCAA Indoors Championships. Placed 14th in the weight throw(61-4.75) and 17th in the shot put (46-9).

• Participated in thehammer, discus and shot put at the NCAA Mideast Regional, being oneof just four athletes to qualify for all three events in theregion. Advanced to the NCAA Championship due to her third-placefinish in the hammer (202-10), earning All-Region recognition.Placed 11th in the discus (157-7) and 23rd in the shot put(44-8).

• MAC Indoor Championin the weight throw (65-7). Also placed third in the shot put atthe MAC Indoors (49-9.25).

• Set the UA record inthe weight throw by winning the Zips Open with a toss of66-7.25.

• Set the UA indoorrecord in the shot put by winning the UA Quad with a distance of52-8.25.

• MAC Outdoor Championin the hammer and discus. Her winning hammer throw of 202-7 was aMAC Outdoor Championship meet record. Winning effort in the discuswas 163-2. Placed seventh at the MAC Outdoors in theshot.

• Earned Akron’sScholar Baller honor for posting at least a 3.0 GPA for theacademic year, earning Dean’s List recognitiononce.

• Was the MAC FemaleField Performer of the Week three times during the indoor seasonand three times during the outdoor season.

• Won a total of 13outdoor events for the year: four in the weight throw, four in thehammer, two in the outdoor shot, one in the indoor shot and threein the discus.

as a Redshirt Freshman(2006):

• Emerged as one of thetop throwers in the conference in her first season ofcompetition.

• Earned first teamAll-MAC honors in the outdoor campaign as the hammer champion withan NCAA Regional qualifying toss of 180-07 at the MAC OutdoorChampionships. Went on to finish 18th in thehammer at the NCAA Mideast Regional). Posted a then school recordtoss of 188-09 in the hammer at the CharlotteInvitational.

• Finished 18th in thediscus (124-03) at the MAC Outdoor Championships, but hadseasonal-best toss of 147-10 at the Northeast OhioChampionships.

• During the indoorseason, saved her best for the MAC Championships. Threw 48-0.75 tosecure third in the shot put. Also set a then school record in theweight throw with a toss of 61-04.75 to capture second place andearn second team All-MAC honors.
