as a Senior (2011)
• Advanced to the NCAA East Outdoor Regionals where he placed 30th in the high jump with a clearance of 6-09.00
• Won his third straight MAC outdoor high jump title with a clearance of 6-11.00 at the league championship
• Also won his third consecutive MAC indoor championship with a mark of 6-08.75
• Two-time All-MAC First Team honoree
• Was also named to the Academic All-MAC Team after posting a GPA of 3.30 as a sport management major
• Placed fifth in the high jump with a mark of 6-10.75 at the Virginia Tech Last Chance Meet
• Won the high jump at the All-Ohio Championships with a season-high clearance of 6-08.75
• Also won the Akron Opener with a jump of 7-00.25
as a Junior (2010)
• Two-time MAC Champion in the indoor and outdoor high jump
• Tied for 18th at the NCAA East Regionals with a clearance of 6-11.00
• Overcame injuries early in the season to become MAC Indoor champion, clearing 7-0.25
• Cleared 6-10.75 at the MAC Outdoor Championships to complete the sweep
• Also cleared 7-0.25 at the Penn State National, which was an NCAA provisional qualifying mark
• Won five meets during the outdoor season, including the MAC Championship
• Recorded a PR at the All-Ohio Championships with a winning clearance of 7-00.25
• Also won the Northeast Ohio Invitational (6-11.75), the Penn Relays (6-11.50) and the Campbell/Wright Open (6-10.25)
as a Sophomore (2009)
• Earned at-large invitations to the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships, having the 13th-best clearance in the nation prior to both championships • Placed 15th at the NCAA Outdoors, clearing 6-08.75, but posted a no height at the NCAA Indoors
• Earned All-Mideast Region honors, placing seventh in the high jump at the NCAA Regional with a leap of 7-01
• MAC Champion in both the Indoor and Outdoor high jump ... Won the MAC Indoor in a jump off, clearing a personal-record height of 7-2
• Won the MAC Outdoor title with a personal-record of 7-01.75 ... Both indoor and outdoor heights ranked second on the respective UA all-time lists
• Won six of the eight indoor meets which he competed, clearing at least an NCAA provisional height of 7-0.25 five times
• Of the two he did not win, he placed second - on misses - once and competing at the NCAA Indoor in the other
• Named MAC Indoor Male Field Performer of the Week (Jan. 28) as he posted an NCAA Provisional mark in winning the high jump at the Akron-Kent State dual meet ... Cleared 7-00.25 (2.14) and defeated second place by six inches
• Won the high jump three times during the outdoor season, including a clearance of 7-00.50 at the All-Ohio Championships
• Named team MVP for the indoor season
as a Freshman (2008)
• Was an NCAA Mideast Region qualifier, as he cleared 6-10.75 three times
• Posted an NCAA Indoor provisional qualifying jump of 7-1, achieved in a winning effort at the Akron ... Was also honored as the MAC Indoor Field Performer of the Week for that effort (Feb. 2)
• Garnered second team All-MAC honors, placing second at the MAC Indoors in the high jump (6-11.75)
• One of his 6-10.75 heights came at the MAC Outdoors, where he placed third
• Named the team's Most Improved for the indoor season
• Won the high jump at the Virginia Tech Last Chance, clearing 6-11.50
• Tied for 12th at the NCAA Mideast Regional (6-9)
Prior to Akron
• Won district, clearing 6-9; also claimed first at the regional championship, while placing second at the state meet as a senior at Revere High School
• Part of the 4x200 relay and 4x400 relay senior year
• Tied his school record in the high jump and part of the school record 4x200 relay team
