as a Junior (2008):
• Named All-Great Lakes Region, placing 20th at the NCAA regional cross country meet (21:52). Was the Zips' top finisher at the meet, helping Akron place eighth in the 34-team field.
• First team All-MAC, placing fourth at league's cross country championship (17:15) and helping the Zips finish runner-up.
• Voted Academic All-MAC for cross country thanks to her 3.31 GPA in sociology.
• Tabbed Akron's team MVP as she was UA's top or second finisher at each meet in 2008. In addition to being UA's top finisher at the MAC and NCAA Regional, she placed a UA-best seventh at the All Ohio Championships (18:17). Placed second overall (behind teammate Kim Lorentz) at the Tommy Evans Invitational and added a fourth-place finish (18:29) at the Buffalo Stampede.
as a Sophomore (2007):
• Earned Cross Country second team All-MAC honors, placing 10th at the league championships (18:05).
• Also named Academic All-MAC for cross country with her 3.3 GPA in psychology. Also named Academic All-MAC for the outdoor season.
• Won the 2007 Tommy Evans Invitational, completing the 5k course in 19:08.
• Helped UA to place seventh of 30 teams as she was the Zips' second-highest finisher at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional, placing 37th overall (22:01.57).
• Named an Akron Scholar Baller for having at least a 3.0 GPA for the 2007-08 academic year, earning Dean's List recognition twice. Also named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic team.
Prior to Akron:
• Participated in the World and European Junior Championships, competing for her native Romania.
• In 2005, placed fourth in the 1500 at the European Junior Championships with a time of 4:17.47.
• Placed fourth in the 800m at the 2004 World Junior Championships in Italy (2:05.05).
• In 2004, placed sixth at the IAAF World Junior Championships in the 800 with a time of 2:04.09. The previous year, also competing in the 800, posted a time of 2:04.31 to place third at the IAAF World Youth Championships.
