as a Senior (2010):

Earned NCAA Indoor Pole Vault All-American, placing fourth at the NCAA Indoor Championships ... Broke her own Akron and MAC all-time record in the event with a clearance of 14-3.25 at the NCAA Indoors..
MAC Indoor Pole Vault Champion, clearing 13-03.50.
First set both the Akron and MAC all-time indoor record with a vault of 14-01.25 at the Zips Invitational ... The mark additionally gained her an automatic berth to the NCAA Indoor Championships.
Won the indoor pole vault five times, clearing at least an NCAA provisional mark each time (with a low of 13-3.50 at the MAC Championships) and clearing the NCAA automatic standard twice (also cleared 13-11.25 at the Akron Quad).
Was a two-time MAC Female Indoor Field Performer of the Week (Jan. 27 and Feb. 24) for winning the pole vault at the UA-KSU Dual meet and her record-setting performance in the Zips Invitational.

as a Junior (2009):

Earned All-American honors, placing sixth at the NCAA Outdoor Championships ... Her clearance tied both the UA and MAC all-time records (along with fellow All-American Kira Sims).
Also qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships thanks to her vault of 13-8.25 at the Virginia Tech last chance ... Posted a no height at the NCAA Indoors.
Qualified for the NCAA Mideast Region with a vault of 13-9.25 at the Campbell/Wright Invitational ... Placed 12th at the NCAA Regional (12-10).
MAC Outdoor Champion in the pole vault, clearing 13-1.50.
MAC Indoor Champion in the pole vault, clearing 12-7.50.
Voted second team CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District IV thanks to her 3.6 GPA in exercise science ... Also tabbed Academic All-MAC for the Indoor and Outdoor seasons.
In the outdoor season, won the pole vault four times, each with a clearance of over 13 feet.
During the indoor season, Kayes competed in 10 pole vault competitions and won eight, including four with NCAA provisional marks.

as a Sophomore (2008):

Named All-Mideast Region, tying for fourth at the NCAA regional meet (13-3.75) ... While she tied for fourth at the regional meet, she placed sixth overall after a jump-off to just miss a berth to the NCAA Championships.
Voted Indoor Academic All-MAC, posting a 3.584 GPA in business Administration.
Placed fourth at the MAC Outdoor Championships, clearing 12-3.50.
Placed fifth at the MAC Indoor Championships with a height of 12-10.75, the fourth-best clearance in UA history.
Won the pole vault three times during 2008 season, including the indoor Roo Town Open (12-7.50), the indoor Hoosier Hill Invitational (12-5.50) and outdoor All Ohio Championships (13-1.50).
Earned Akron's Scholar Baller honor for posting at least a 3.0 GPA for the academic year. Earned Dean's List recognition during the fall and spring semesters.

as a Freshman (2007):

Was an NCAA Regional Qualifier, placing 20th with a height of 12-0.
Cleared the NCAA Regional qualifying mark of 2-5.50 three times during the outdoor season, including once as she won the Campbell-Wright Open ... Also won the Northeast Ohio Quad with a height of 12-6 in a meet that was moved indoors due to inclement weather.
Placed fourth at the MAC Outdoors with a height of 12-5.50.
Was fifth at the MAC Indoors, vaulting 12-7.50.
Won the Sykes-Sabock pole vault (12-6) and the Zips Open pole vault (12-5).
Placed second at the Sykes-Sabock with a personal-record 12-9.50.

at Green High School:

Set the Ohio Division I record in the pole vault, clearing 12-9 en route to winning a regional title. Also won the state title as senior and a junior (11-3).
Placed second at nationals in the pole vault with a height of 12-4.75.
Was a state qualifier as a freshman in gymnastics.
