• Battled injury duringher final cross country season, but ran in the Zips’ 2008NCCA Great lakes Regional Championship.

as a Junior (Fall2007-08):

• MAC Outdoor Championin the 10,000m (35:54.62), posting the third-best time in UAhistory. Also placed third at the MAC Outdoors in the 3k(17:40.59).

• Was namedAkron’s Most Improved for the outdoor season, winning the1500m at the Northeast Ohio Quad (4:38.19) and Campbell/WrightInvitational (4:30.49). Won the 5k at the outdoor season opener,running 17:09.44 at the 49er Classic. Also had Akron’sseasonal-best time of 16:54.92 in the 3k, the third-best effort inUA history.

• Posted Akron’sbest time in the indoor 3000m (9:58.89).

• Ran in Akron’sfirst three cross country meets, having a best finish of eighth atthe Tommy Evans Invitational.

• Named an AkronScholar Baller for having at least a 3.0 GPA for the 2007-08academic year.

• Earned second teamAll-MAC in cross country as a freshman, placing seventh. Was thefirst RedHawk across the tape in four of the team’s sevenraces as a rookie and was the second Miamian in the otherthree.
