• Recorded a PR in the 800m with a time of 1:59.45 at the Akron Opener
as a Sophomore (2010 Track)
• Earned second team All-MAC Indoor honors, running the anchor leg of the distance medley relay (10:11.25)
• Won the mile at the Zips Invitational, running a personal record 4:14.45
as a Sophomore (2009 Cross Country)
• Ran in six of the seven events for the Zips
• Was the Zips second-highest finisher at the MAC Championships, coming in 42nd (27:34.2), and the NCAA Great Lakes Regional, coming in 83rd (33:06.49)
as a Freshman (2009 Track)
• placed 13th at the MAC Outdoor Championships in the 1,500m (4:06.59)
• Placed 11th in the mile at the MAC Indoor Championships (4:28.03)
as a Freshman (2008 Cross Country)
• Ran in all six team event for the Zips, as well as the NCAA Great Lakes Regional
• Was UA's second-highest finisher at the Notre Dame Invitational (26:16). Best time of the fall was 26:05, placing 37th at the MAC Championships
Prior to Akron
• Placed 16th at the Ohio Division I State Cross Country Championships as a senior at North Canton Hoover High School, helping his team place third
• Helped his team to a state runner-up finish as a junior
• Placed among the top five at all regular-season meets, placing seventh at the regional. First team all-conference and All-Federal League. As a junior, was second team all-county, first team All-League. As a sophomore, team placed second in the state, earning first team All-League and second team all-county
• Four-time Academic All-Ohio
• Owns county record for the 4x800 relay (7:55) and placed fourth in the state in the event
• Also played trumpet for North Canton Hoover
Personal
• Parents are Michael and Tracy Stackpole
• His father, who received his Master's from The University of Akron, was a state qualifier in the sprints in high school and his uncle was a state qualifier in distance running in high school
