Ronnie Ladines was named a graduate assistant on the Akron softball staff prior to the 2018 season.Â
Ladines, a recent graduate of Kent State was a two-time All-MAC First Team honoree (2016-17), an eight-time MAC East Pitcher of the week, named to the 2016 NFCA All-Mideast Region Second Team and 2017 NFCA All-Mideast Region First Team, and the 2017 MAC Tournament MVP with the Kent State softball team.Â
As the ace of the Golden Flashes pitching staff, Ladines holds seven top ten career records inside the program’s all-time lists, along with six records insde the top-ten single-season all-time records. In her career, she tossed 768.0 innings, tallied a 2.23 earned run average, while going 62-37 and striking out 622 batters.Â
Ladines’ responsibilities with the team include running the in-game video program, supervising team managers, arranging team meals and practice facilities during travel and assisting with practice set-up and timing. She also assists in coordinating the team’s community service projects and helps to manage daily practices.
A native of Arlington, Wash., Ladines graduated from Kent State in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in pre-physical therapy.
