as a freshman (Spring 2009): Competed in three events for the Zips as an individual ... his lowest three-round score came at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate (March 9-10) where he posted a 237 (79-80-78) ... carded a 249 (81-82-86) at the Bluegrass Invitational (April 11-12) ... posted a 261 (88-86-87) at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate (March 20-24) ... holds a 82.83 scoring average through his first collegiate year of play.
as a freshman (Fall 2008): Competed in one event for Akron (Saint Mary's Invitational, Sept. 29-30) where he carded a 247 posting three rounds of 87-83-77.
at Stow HS: Had a dynamic senior year carding a 74.55 average in nine Division I tournaments, the lowest school average since 1990 ... only the second player in school history to be named the Northeast Ohio Conference Player of the Year as well as winning the individual conference championship ... led his team to the 2007 sectional tournament championship where he grabbed the individual title ... was named to the 2007 Northeast Ohio All-District First Team ... voted a 2007 “Area Player to Watch” by both the Cleveland Plain Dealer and the Akron Beacon Journal ... tied the school record for most individual tournament medalist wins with three while setting a nine hole record with a four under par-32 ... as a junior was a member of the Ohio high school state championship qualifying team that went undefeated, the first in school history ... named honorable mention All-Northeast Ohio in 2005-06 ... was a four time All-Northeast Ohio Conference member ... has a career record of 41-16 with four varsity letters ... received the Rotary Leadership award and Academic Excellence award in 2004, 2005, and 2006 ... also honored with the Stolian award and citizenship award ... played varsity basketball for two years.
