Stephanie Brown is in her first year serving as a volunteer assistant coach with the Akron Cross Country and Track and Field programs. She works primarily with the middle distance and distance runners.

Competing for the University of Arkansas (2009-2014), Brown was an SEC champion and 10x NCAA qualifier in cross country and track and field. As a senior she won an NCAA indoor title, leading off their distance medley relay.

Professionally, Brown has competed in the 2012 and 2016 USA Olympic Trials finishing as high as 10th in the 1,500 meters. She set personal bests of 2:01.71 for the 800 and 4:06.71 for the 1,500 in the summer of 2018, which included winning the 2018 Portland Track Festival 1,500.

Brown graduated from Arkansas in 2014 with degrees in communications and advertising.
