as a Senior (2012): Played in 24 games, making 17 starts ... saw most of his time at catcher, but also was a designated hitter ... hit .270 (20-for-74) ... scored nine runs and drove in eight ... threw out five would-be base stealers ... collected multiple hits in five games on the season ... was 2-for-2 with two runs scored against Ohio (May 12) ... drove in two runs at Southern Cal (Feb. 26).

at Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School: Four-year letterwinner ... first-team all-conference selection as a junior and senior while earning Louisville Slugger Preseason All-American status in 2006 ... league MVP, honorable mention all-state and honorable mention All-American during his senior season after hitting .416 with 36 RBI and leading his team to the regional finals ... recorded the game-winning hit in the regional semifinals ... was a four-year honor student in high school and received the Student Council Leadership Award ...
