As a Senior (2014): Served as team captain for the Penn State game ... named the Coaches' Defensive Payer the Game three times (Howard, Ohio, Bowling Green) ... played in all 12 games with 10 starts at MIKE linebacker ... finished third with 66 tackles, 6.0 TFL, two fumble recoveries, two break-ups, and a forced fumble ... in the 41-0 victory over Howard, tied his career-high with 10 tackles, including a career-best eight solo stops ... also recorded the first fumble recovery of his career with a six-yard return inside the red zone, setting up UA's second TD ... at Penn State, had three tackles and a break-up ... in the win at Pittsburgh, had six tackles ... in the win over Eastern Michigan, had four solo tackles ... in the win over Miami, had a fumble recovery ... at Ohio, led the defense with a career-high 12 tackles, including a career-best eight assists, and 2.0 TFL ... at Ball State, led the Zips with 11 tackles ... at Buffalo, had six tackles ... in the win over UMass, had five tackles, including four solo stops.
As a Junior (2013): Signed with the Zips in February 2013 ... appeared in eight games, making three starts at MIKE linebacker ... finished the season with 41 tackles (23 solo), 7.5 tackles for a loss (tied for the team lead), 2.0 sacks, and one pass breakup ... posted at least two tackles in all eight games that he appeared ... recorded a season-high 10 stops (three solo) at Massachusetts ... had sacks against James Madison and at Michigan ... finished the season with a seven-tackle performance (four solo), including one tackle for a loss, against Toledo.
Prior to Akron: Attended Tallahassee Community College in 2012-13, but did not compete in football ... served as his redshirt.
As a Freshman/Sophomore (2010-11 at Washington State): Played in 10 games with nine starts as a sophomore ... fourth on team with 56 tackles (35 solo stops) ... recorded two sacks, forced two fumbles and recovered two fumbles ... as a freshman, played in 11 games (six starts) ... finished fourth on the team with 57 total tackles (42 solo), second most among freshmen in the Pacific-10 Conference ... came out of high school as a Prep Star All-American ... four-star recruit according to Scout.com, and was rated No. 5 nationally at his position ... a four-star recruit according to Rivals.com, and was rated No. 19 at his position nationally and No. 45 overall in the state of Florida ... rated No. 25 at his position nationally by ESPN.com.
