Akron Volleyball Announces 2026 Non-Conference Schedule

AKRON, Ohio - The University of Akron volleyball team, under the direction of Tyson Norton, has announced the 2026 non-conference schedule.
The Zips begin the 2026 campaign at the Buccaneer Classic, hosted by East Tennessee State, from August 28-29. Akron will battle ETSU, Liberty and Auburn.
Akron then turns its attention to the Hampton Inn / Indy Invitational, hosted by IU Indy and Butler, from September 3-5. The Blue and Gold will battle Marshall, IU Indy and Butler.
The Zips return to James A. Rhodes Arena for the first time with the Zips Classic. Akron will host Cleveland State, Coppin State and Valparaiso from September 10-12. Akron then hosts Youngstown State on September 17 before traveling to Cleveland State on September 18 and Xavier on September 20 to conclude non-conference action.
Akron begins Mid-American Conference action when it travels to rival Kent State on September 23.
