Akron Swimming Set to Battle Toledo on Saturday

AKRON, Ohio - The Akron swimming team will travel to Toledo to battle the Rockets on Saturday, Jan. 10, for an 11 a.m. start.
The diving team was originally scheduled to compete in the Buffalo Diving Invite, but the competition was canceled.
Akron was last in action on Dec. 7 when it concluded the Zippy Invitational with a first-place finish. The Zips finished their four-day invitational with 1,779 points.
The Zips are 2-1 in head-to-head competition and 2-0 against fellow MAC schools.
Toledo is 2-3 overall in head-to-head competition and 1-2 in conference action.
The Rockets were last in action on Dec. 6 when they traveled to battle Indiana State. Toledo fell 229-68.
After hosting the Zips, Toledo will travel to Marshall (Jan. 24) and Bowling Green (Jan. 30).
What's Next?
Akron travels to South Bend, Ind., to compete in Notre Dame's Tim Welsh Classic on January 23 and 24.
