Akron Swim & Dive Set to Compete in Tim Welsh Classic

Akron, Ohio - The Akron swimming and diving team returns to action as it battles in the Tim Welsh Classic on the campus of Notre Dame. The Classic is scheduled to run from January 23 to 24.

The Zips were last in action on January 10, when they took down Toledo 209-52 in a dual meet.

Akron took third in the Tim Welsh Classic last season, securing 803 points.

Akron also recently earned CSCAA Fall Scholar All-America Team distinction.

What's Next?
Akron will return to Oliver J. Ocasek Natatorium to host Ohio in a two-day dual meet from January 30-31. Saturday, January 31 will also be Senior Day for the Zips.
