Jack Kelley Named MAC Pitcher of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Jack Kelley from the University of Akron baseball team was named the Mid-American Conference
Pitcher of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday, April 7.
Kelley is the second Zip to earn a weekly award this season, joining Jack Poist who was named Player of the Week twice this season.
Jack threw a season-high eight innings against Toledo in the second game of a doubleheader on Sunday, April 6. Over those eight innings, he allowed no runs while striking out seven Rockets to help the Zips earn a 1-0 victory and claim the series over Toledo.
The Zips travel to battle Michigan on Tuesday, April 8 for a 4 p.m. start.
