Pawleys Island, S.C. -- Sohniya Chandra Mohan and Hridhika Vora carded 1-under par 70 scores to open the 2025 Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge at the Caledonia Golf & Fish Club (6,054-yard, par-71) on Monday as Akron registered a third-best 291 (+7).

Chandra Mohan carded 11 pars and four birdies as she finished the front-9 2-under par and 1-over on the back. Chandra Mohan is tied for fourth overall on the player's leaderboard, while Vora joined her with a 70 (-1) opening round score. Vora collected five birdies and 10 par scores en route to the 1-under and 4^th place effort.

Daphne Van Son was third in scoring for Akron with a 27^th place 75 (+4) showing, while Maisarah Hezri and Emily Liptak rounded out the scoring with 76 (+5) and 79 (+8) scores, respectively.
