Sohniya Chandra Mohan Fires Second 1-Under Score, Zips Fourth

Pawleys Island, S.C. -- Sohniya Chandra Mohan followed an opening round 1-under par score with a second 1-under par performance to lead the Zips scoring at the 2025 Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge at the Caledonia Golf & Fish Club (6,054-yard, par-71) on Tuesday as Akron moved to fourth overall in the team race.

Chandra Mohan recorded an eagle on the 462-yard, par-5 15^th hole and notched three birdies to go along with 10 par scores for her second 1-under performance of the tournament. She currently ranks third overall on the player's leaderboard with a 70-70 -140 (-2) total and leads the field in par-4 scoring (-2, 3.89). In addition, she registered seven birdies in 36 holes which ranks third among the field.

Hridhika Vora follows in scoring for Akron as she posted a 75 (+4) second round total to go along with her opening round 1-under performance for a 145 (+3) two-round total. Vora ranks 11^th overall and is second in par-4 scoring (-1, 3.94) behind Chandra Mohan.

Also ranking among the field's leaders is Maisarah Hezri who ranks second overall with eight birdies over two days. Hezri posted four birdies in second round action en route to a 75 (+4) ledger. She moved up six spots to 30^th overall with a 151 (+9) total.

Daphne Van Son was the third member of the squad to register a 75 (+4) score during the second 18-hole round of the tournament. She climbed five spots on the leaderboard to 22^nd overall with a 150 (+8) total. Emily Liptak rounded out the scoring with an 80 (+9) score.

The Zips enter the final round fourth overall in team scoring with a 291-295 – 586 (+18) tournament total. Akron returns to the first tee on Wednesday, starting at 8:53 with Emily Liptak (T70, +17), 9:04 Maisarah Hezri (T30, +9), 9:15 Daphne van Son (T22, +8), 9:26 Hridhika Vora (T11, +3) and 9:37 Sohniya Chandra Mohan (3, -2).
