John's Creek, Ga. – The Akron Zips maintained its 11th place standing at the 2025 Georgia State Invitational, firing a 315 (+27) final round score en route to a 311-303-315 – 929 (+65) tournament total as Sohniya Chandra Mohan and Maisarah Hezri led the way with a pair of 18th place finishes on Tuesday.
Both, Chandra Mohan and Hezri carded 78 (+6) scores, finishing the 54-hole tournament at at the 5,945-yard, par-72 the Rivermont Golf Club. Chandra Mohan completed the event with rounds of 74 (+2), 75 (+3) and 78 (+6) for a 227 (+11) tournament total, while Hezri used a different route to get to the 227 (+11). Hezri registered scores of 77 (+5), 72 (E) and 78 (+6).
Emily Liptak finished third in scoring and 49th overall 78-78-81 – 237 (+21), while Hridhika Vora claimed the fourth spot with 82-83-78 – 243 (+27) scores and finished 68th overall.
Rounding out the scoring were Daphne Van Son and Avery Wright with 245 (+29) tournament totals for 74th place finishes.
Akron is scheduled to be back in action at the Golfweek/AGT on Monday through Wednesday, March 31 – April 2 at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in Pawleys Island, S.C.
