Chandra Mohan and Hezri Leads Zips at Georgia State Invitational

John's Creek, Ga. – The Akron Zips posted a 614 (+38) overall score after 36 holes played at the 2025 Georgia State Invitational, carding 18-hole round scores of 311 (+23) and 303 (+15) at the 5,945-yard, par-72 the Rivermont Golf Club on Monday.

Sohniya Chandra Mohan and Maisarah Hezri led the Zips scoring through the initial 36 holes of play as both players posted 5-over par 149 scores. Both, Chandra Mohan and Hezri rank 13^th overall on the players' leaderboard. Chandra Mohan registered rounds of 74 (+2) and 75 (+3) and climbed two spots on 23 par scores and four birdies, while Hezri jumped 20 spots on the leaderboard with rounds of 77 (+5) and 72 (E) which included 20 par scores and six birdies.

Emily Liptak followed with a pair of 78 (+6) scores for a 156 (+12) total, ranking 45^th overall, while Daphne Van Son was fourth in team scoring with 85-78 – 163 (+19) total. Hridhika Vora rounded out the team scoring with a 82-83 – 165 (+21) ledger.

In addition, Avery Wright is competing as an individual and currently stands 69^th overall with a pair of 81 (+9) scores for a 162 (+18).

The final round of the 2025 Georgia State Invitational is slated for an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday.
