Akron Unveils Challenging 2026 Lacrosse Schedule

2026 AKRON LACROSSE SCHEDULE

AKRON, Ohio - The University of Akron women's lacrosse team unveiled a challenging 2026 slate, one that will include nine home matches, third-year head coach Elaine Jones announced today.

In 2026, the Zips' 16-match regular season slate features a seven-match Mid-American Conference schedule, as well as home non-conference showdowns against Duquesne (Feb. 7), Lindenwood (Feb. 14), Canisius (Feb. 21), Radford (Feb. 25), Furman (March 5) and San Diego State (March 22).

The Zips will take the field for the initial time welcoming Duquesne to Stile Athletics Field House on Feb. 7 for Akron's season opener.

The Zips will host four of their first five games at home welcoming Lindenwood (Feb. 14), Canisius (Feb. 21) and Radford (Feb. 25) to Akron. Sandwiched in the middle of those matches will be a showdown at Butler (Feb. 18).

The month of March opens with a road contest at Xavier (March 2) before the Zips host Furman (March 5). Akron travels to Arizona State on March 11 in advance of opening defense of its MAC regular and postseason titles welcoming Detroit Mercy to InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field on March 14.

Akron visits rival Kent State on March 18 before closing the month hosting San Diego State (March 22) and Eastern Michigan (March 28).

The Zips visit Massachusetts (April 4) and Robert Morris (April 11) to start the month of April before entertaining Youngstown State (April 18) at InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field. Akron culminates the regular season campaign traveling to Central Michigan on April 25.

The MAC Tournament is slated for April 30-May 2 at the site of the regular season champion.
