Kipchirchir Named MAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio - University of Akron men's cross country sophomore Bismack Kipchirchir (Eldama Ravine, Kenya) was honored by the Mid-American Conference as its Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday, Oct. 7.

Kipchirchir garnered a career-best 8K time of 23:07.2 to lead Akron's efforts at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational on Friday (Oct. 3).

The Zips return to competition on Friday (Oct. 17) traveling to Bowling Green, Ohio, for the Falcon Invite.
