MEN'S RESULTS

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — The Akron cross country teams competed at Bowling Green's Falcon Invitational at their on-campus Mel Brodt Cross Country Course.

In the women's 6K race, Kayla Sucharski led the way with a 10th-place finish (22:09.1), while Kennedy Schlessman took 17th (22:22.1).

Addison Ranly (32nd, 23:36.1) and Fiona Battle (33rd, 23:37.4) rounded out the rest of the Akron field. Since only four runners competed, it was not enough to score any team points in the competition.

On the men's side, Emil Stanford paced the Zips with a 12th-place finish (25:44.8) in the 8K race. Brody Bauman was 21st (26:17.4), while Rowan Smith placed 25th (26:28.1).

Vincent Lightle (27th, 26:31.6), James Baisden (44th, 28:06.6) and Ezra Kimoi (45th, 28:23.5) filled out the rest of the lineup for Akron as they placed fifth overall as a team. BGSU won both races.
