Akron Football Opens Preparations for 2024 Campaign

AKRON, Ohio - With under a month remaining until the season opener, the University of Akron Football team opened training camp on Wednesday morning at InfoCision Stadium - Summa Field.
Under the guidance of third-year head coach Joe Moorhead the Zips returned to the field for more than 90 minutes of drills as part of the first practice of the preseason.
Akron football program opens its 2024 campaign at Ohio State on Aug. 31, 2024, at Ohio Stadium. Akron's home opener is slated for Saturday, Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. versus Colgate.
Season tickets are on sale now. Single-game ticket plans for the 2024 season can be purchased on the Akron Athletics App or GoZips.com or by calling or texting 888-99-AKRON (25766) or visiting The C.P. and Cornelia S. Chima Athletics Ticket Office at InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field (located at 375 E. Exchange Street, near Gate 1 at the southwest corner of the venue, at the corner of E. Exchange and S. Union streets) during our transitional business hours (Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
