Six Zips Named to the Academic All-MAC Baseball Team

CLEVELAND, Ohio -Â The Mid-American Conference announced the 2024 Baseball Academic All-MAC Team on Friday, recognizing a total of 119 student-athletes for their outstanding achievements in both athletics and academics.
The University of Akron baseball team saw six student-athletes earn honors as Breydan Cavey, Max Bowman, Jack Poist, Sam Seeker, Michael Sprockett, and Yassir Kahook were all named to the academic All-MAC team.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. First-year students and any transfer in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
