Akron Unveils 2024 Men's Soccer BIG EAST Schedule

2024 AKRON MEN'S SOCCER BIG EAST SCHEDULE
AKRON, Ohio – The University of Akron men's soccer squad unveiled its 2024 BIG EAST Conference slate on Wednesday (May 22).
Akron under the direction of 12th-year head coach Jared Embick will kick off its 70th season of intercollegiate men's soccer traveling to Notre Dame (Aug. 22) for a non-conference showdown with the Fighting Irish. The home opener for the Zips will see Akron battle Ohio State (Aug. 25).
The Zips commence their BIG EAST schedule welcoming Butler to FirstEnergy Stadium on Sept. 20. Akron then visits Georgetown (Sept. 28) before back-to-back home contests against Xavier (Oct. 4) and Villanova (Oct. 12).
Three of the Zips final four league contests will be on the road with Akron traveling to DePaul (Oct. 19), Marquette (Oct. 26) and Connecticut (Nov. 2). The Zips home finale will be a showdown with Creighton (Oct. 23).
The conference tournament is scheduled to begin on Nov. 9 at campus sites before the semifinal and championship matches are held Nov. 14 and Nov. 17, respectively, at Maryland Soccer Plex in Boyds, Maryland.
Akron's non-conference schedule will be released at a later date.
Season tickets are now on sale. Fans with questions about new or existing season tickets for the 2024 campaign may call, email (tickets@uakron.edu) or text the C.P. and Cornelia S. Chima Athletics Ticket Office at 1-888-99-AKRON (25766) or visit the office at InfoCision Stadium – Summa Field (located at 375 E. Exchange Street, near Gate 1 at the southwest corner of the venue) Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
