AKRON, OHIO – A quartet of top-five performances highlighted the efforts of the University of Akron track and field team on the opening day of the Northeast Ohio Open at the Lee R. Jackson Track and Field Complex on Friday (April 5).
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Redshirt senior Jabari Neal-Jackson (Cincinnati, Ohio) placed third in the men's hammer with a mark of 203-9 (61.12m).
• Redshirt sophomore Gabrielle Griffiths (Fort Worth, Texas) recorded a mark of 171-10 to finish third in the women's hammer, while adding a career-best mark of 111-11 in the women's javelin to place fourth.
• Redshirt junior Jacob Glavickas (Orwell, Ohio) placed fourth in the men's javelin with a mark of 153-6 (46.79m).
