Diving Concludes Season with NCAA Diving Zones

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky – The Akron divers finished their season by competing at the NCAA Diving Zones on Thursday-Friday, March 14-15. Paige Bush, Elizabeth Noble, and Laurel Smith competed for the Zips after qualifying for the Diving Zones during the regular season.
All three Akron divers competed in the 1-Meter event in the field of 56 athletes on Thursday. Noble finished 20th with a score of 243.35, missing the finals by 6.55 points. Smith finished 37th with a score of 223.65 and Bush earned 219.20 for her dives for a 39th finish.
Friday's 3-Meter event saw Noble and Smith represent the Zips. Out of the field of 51 divers, Noble finished with a score of 222.65 for her six dives and Smith earned 179.05 points during the prelim round.
