Swimming & Diving Teams Splits for Post-Season Action This Weekend

This weekend, the Akron swimming and diving teams will head their separate ways for post-season competitions with three Zips divers competing at the NCAA Diving Zone in Louisville, Kentucky while the swimmers head to the CSCAA National Invitational Championship in Ocala, Florida.
Zips divers, Paige Bush (1M), Elizabeth Noble (1M & 3M), and Laurel Smith (1M & 3M) will attempt to qualify for NCAA Diving Championships by placing in the top seven in the 1-meter event or top eleven in the 3-meter event at this weekend's Zone C meet hosted at the University of Louisville Ralph Wright Natatorium from March 14-16.

Akron comes into the 2024 CSCAA National Invitational Championships as last year's runner-up and return Rebecca Reid who claimed the title of 2023 Women's Athlete of the Meet after collecting 71 individual points of Akron's 455.50 total. The Zips will travel to Ocala, Florida for competition Thursday-Saturday, March 14-16. Each day will have Prelims beginning at 9:30 a.m. before Finals start in the evening at 6 p.m.
Representing the Zips are Sara Bozso, Giovanna Cappabianca, Claire Cox, Madeline Dyer, Astrid Halvorsen, Aislinn Holder, Julia Mauter, Callie Parkes, Rebecca Reid, Kaja Reinhardt, Rachel Sabotin, and Hannah Trainer.
