Vora Fires 3-Under Par in Opening Round of Rio Verde Invitational

Rio Verde, Ariz. – Sophomore Hridhika Vora (Mumbai, Maharashtra) fired a 3-under par score to finish tied for second overall after the first 18-hole round of the 2024 Rio Verde Invitational.
Vora recorded five birdies mixed with 11 par scores to finish the opening round with a 69 (-3) total. Avery Wright posted an even par 72 while Jessica Hahn and Daphne van Son added 78 (+6) and 80 (+8) tallies to round out the Akron scoring.
The Zips are currently tied at ninth overall in the 20-team field with a 299 (+11) total. Second round play resumes on Saturday, Feb. 24 with a shotgun start at 10 a.m.
