Akron Cards 5-Over Team Total, Four Zips Shoot in the 70’s

Rio Verde, Ariz. – Four Zips recorded scores in the 70's as the Akron golf team shaved six strokes off their opening round total for a 5-over par team total at the second round of the 2024 Rio Verde Invitational on Saturday.

Abbi Fleiner led the second-round scoring with a 1-under par 71 performance, registering 13 par scores and three birdies. Fleiner owns a 152 (+8) 36-hole total and ranks tied for 58^th overall.

Hridhika Vora followed a 69 (-3) opening round with an even-par 72 second 18-hole tally. Vora is currently tied for third overall on the player leaderboard with a 141 (-3) total. She has collected seven birdies in 36 holes.

Jessica Hahn and Daphne van Son rounded out the team scoring with a pair of 75 (+3) totals. Hahn is currently tied for 62^nd overall (153, +9) and van Son is 68^th overall (155, +11).

Tied at 74^th overall is Avery Wright with a 156 (+12) tournament total.

The Zips enter the final round ranked ninth overall in the 20-team field with a 592 (+16) total. Play is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25 with a shotgun start.
