CHICAGO - The 23rd-ranked University of Akron men's soccer team garnered a brace from redshirt senior Emil Jaaskelainen (Bolton, England) to propel the Zips to a 4-0 victory at DePaul on Saturday (Oct. 19).

How it Happened
Redshirt senior Victor Gaulmin (Guipavas, France) gave the Zips a 1-0 lead at the 13:20 mark connecting on a goal off assists from redshirt seniors Dyson Clapier (Layton, Utah) and Jaaskelainen.

Senior Malik Henry (Hamilton, Ontario) pushed Akron's advantage to 2-0 in the 20th minute (19:43) with a goal courtesy of an assist from Gaulmin.

Akron posted a 5-2 edge in first-half shots, including a 3-0 margin on goal.

Jaaskelainen delivered his NCAA-best 15th goal of the season in the 61st minute (60:53) to give Akron a 3-0 lead. Henry and senior Wan Kuzri Wan Kamal (Carbondale, Ill.) earned assists on the tally.

Jaaskelainen followed with a goal at the 65:07 mark to garner his third consecutive and sixth overall multiple-goal performance of the season.
