AKRON, Ohio - A goal in the 61st minute (60:07) from junior Dyson Clapier (Layton, Utah) propelled the 21st-rated University of Akron men's soccer team to a 1-0 victory past No. 7 Vermont on Monday (Aug. 28) at FirstEnergy Stadium.
Akron improved to 2-0-0 on the season following the triumph.
How it Happened
The Zips broke the scoreless tie when Clapier scored his second goal of the season at the 60:07 mark, assisted by junior Malik Henry (Hamilton, Ontario). The lone goal held in the 1-0 match.
