AKRON, Ohio -Â The University of Akron lacrosse team concludes its non-conference schedule on Saturday, March 25, as the Zips visit Radford for a noon tilt.
SCOUTING AKRON:
Senior Alexis Kiefer (West Chicago, Ill.) and sophomore Jaelyn Clinkscales (Rochester, N.Y.), who have posted 46 and 25 shots, respectively, headline Akron's offensive efforts this season. Kiefer, Clinkscales and senior Kaija Kunttu (Zionsville, Ind.), have recorded a team-high 21, 13 and eight goals, respectively, while Kiefer has registered team-best marks in goals (21), points (24), shots (46), shots on goal (40), draw controls (43), ground balls (15) and caused turnovers (9). Freshman GK Kylan Rhude (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) and sophomore GK Hannah Sanders (Massillon, Ohio) have combined to record 80 saves for Akron.

Kiefer rated third in the MAC in draw controls per outing (5.38), fourth in goals per game (2.83) and shots per outing (5.75), sixth in points per contest (3.00) and eighth in caused turnovers (1.13). Junior Noelle Boyd (Murrysville, Pa.) ranks ninth in shots per tilt (4.50) and 10th in goals per game (1.75), while sophomore Graceann Schwab (Rochester, N.Y.) is rated ninth in assists per contest (.71)

Additionally, sophomore Kylie Harris (Lake Norman, N.C.) is 10th in draw controls per game (2.75). Rhude is second in goals against average (8.44), fourth in save percentage (.451), sixth in ground balls per contest (2.29) and seventh in saves per game (5.86). Sanders is seventh in goals against average (14.78) and save percentage (.429), eighth in saves per game (5.57) and ninth in ground balls per tilt (2.14).

Akron is squaring off against Radford for the second time in program history. The Highlanders are 2-5 on the campaign following a 16-11 victory over Delaware State on Thursday, March 23. Margaret Gleason directs the Radford offensive attack with team-high marks in goals (17), points (20), shots (43), shots on goal (28) and draw controls (15). Goalkeeper Olivia Hunter has collected 71 saves on the campaign for the Highlanders. Radford is led by second-year head coach Samantha Hurley, who owns a 4-19 ledger as a head coach for the Highlanders and is 37-44 in six overall campaigns as a head coach
