RADFORD, Va. – The University of Akron lacrosse team dropped a 14-3 decision at Radford on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Zips netted a trio of fourth-quarter tallies in the affair as freshman Macy Vail (Joppatowne, Md.), senior Abby Schaefer (Beaver Falls, Pa.) and freshman Kellen Fletcher (Valencia, Pa.) found the back of the net at the 12:38, 6:23 and 2:39 marks, respectively. Two of the goals came on power-play opportunities.
• Sophomore GK Hannah Sanders (Massillon, Ohio) recorded three saves in net for the Zips.

Akron travels to Kent, Ohio, for a Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center Wagon Wheel Challenge showdown at Kent State on Saturday, April 1 at 1 p.m.
