Atkins Earns MAC Pitcher of the Week Accolades

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Junior starting pitcher Spencer Atkins (Sylvania, Ohio) was named pitcher of the week by the Mid-American Conference for his performance against Bowling Green over the weekend, the league announced on Tuesday.
Atkins threw six innings without relinquishing a hit to the Bowling Green batters en route to a 3-1 complete game win. In nine innings of work, Atkins limited the Falcons to three hits and one run while striking out 11 batters with one walk. He finished the game with a 0.444 WHIP and 1.00 ERA.
