AKRON, Ohio -Â The University of Akron lacrosse team closes out its four-match homestand with a pair of tilts against Virginia Tech and Wofford.

Akron will battle the Hokies on Saturday, March 18 at 9:45 a.m. inside the Stile Athletics Field House before hosting the Terriers in a 2 p.m. tilt on Tuesday, March 21 at InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field.
SCOUTING AKRON:
Senior Alexis Kiefer (West Chicago, Ill.) and sophomore Jaelyn Clinkscales (Rochester, N.Y.), who have posted 41 and 15 shots, respectively, headline Akron's offensive efforts this season. Kiefer, junior Noelle Boyd (Murrysville, Pa.), Clinkscales and senior Kaija Kunttu (Zionsville, Ind.), have recorded a team-high 17, seven, seven and seven goals, respectively, while Kiefer has registered team-best marks in goals (17), points (19), shots (41), shots on goal (36), draw controls (33) and caused turnovers (6). Freshman GK Kylan Rhude (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) has recorded 36 saves for Akron.

Kiefer rated second in the MAC in draw controls per outing (5.50), third in goals per game (2.83) and shots per outing (6.83) and fifth in points per contest (3.17), while Boyd ranks ninth in shots per tilt (4.50).

Additionally, sophomore Kylie Harris (Lake Norman, N.C.) is eighth in draw controls per game (3.17), while senior Jenna Ridener (Cincinnati, Ohio) is eighth in caused turnovers per contest (1.17). Rhude is first in goals against average (8.72), second in save percentage (.507), sixth in saves per game (7.20) and seventh in ground balls per contest (2.40).

SCOUTING VIRGINIA TECH:
Akron is squaring off against Virginia Tech for the first in program history. The Hokies are 3-5 on the campaign following a 14-1 setback at Notre Dame on Thursday, March 16. Olivia Vergano directs the Virginia Tech offensive attack with team-high marks in goals (15), assists (5), points (20), shots (48), shots on goal (33) and draw controls (40). Goalkeeper Jocelyn Torres has collected 79 saves on the campaign for the Hokies. Virginia Tech is led by second-year head coach Kristen Skiera, who owns a 12-14 ledger as a head coach for the Hokies and is 58-54 in six overall campaigns as a head coach

Akron is squaring off against Wofford for the second in program history. The Terriers own a 2-5 record on the campaign following a 16-7 setback at Queens University on Monday, March 13. Addison Witkowski directs the Wofford offensive attack with team-high marks in goals (10) and shots on goal (17) while Emma Stalteri leads the squad in shots (29) and Olivia Abe headlines the squad in assists (6). Goalkeeper Aislinn Washburn has collected 42 saves on the campaign for the Terriers. Wofford is led by first-year head coach Jessie Aguglia, who owns a 2-5 ledger as a head coach for the Terriers and is 28-37 in five overall seasons as a head coach.
