Bowling Green, Ohio – The Akron Zips golf team fired a 307 (+19) score en route to leading the field with host Bowling Green at the 2022 Dolores Black Falcon Invitational at Stone Ridge Golf Club on Saturday.
The Zips scoring was led by Junior Jacinta PIkunas (Youngstown, Ohio), who fired a 1-over 73 and currently leads the field with Detroit Mercy's Kendall Payne. Sophomore Jennifer David (Hudson, Ohio) followed in scoring for Akron with a 76 (+4) ledger followed by graduate student Ke'Asha Phillips (Owensboro, Ky.) with a 78 (+6) and a pair of 80 (+8) scores by junior Ivana Shah (Mumbai, India) and sophomore Jessica Hahn (Canton, Ohio).
The final 18-hole round of the tournament is scheduled for Sunday, April 10 with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. Akron is slated to start on holes No. 1-3.
