Scrimmage Caps Week Three of Spring Football Drills

AKRON, Ohio - The University of Akron football program, under the leadership of first-year head coach Joe Moorhead, culminated its third week of spring drills on Saturday, April 16, with a scrimmage at the Stile Athletics Field House.
The Zips capped their efforts on the week with their first scrimmage of the spring as the offensive, defensive and special team units went head-to-head in live 11-on-11 drills. Both sides found success on the day as Akron rounded out its work on the team's installation of its offensive, defensive and special team personnel across a trio of practices on the week.
The Zips' annual Spring Game is slated for Saturday, April 30, at InfoCision Stadium– Summa Field. Admission is FREE.
Akron opens the 2022 season versus Saint Francis (Pa.) on Sept. 1 at InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field.
Season tickets are available now by calling or texting the Akron ticket office at 888-99-AKRON (25766) or visiting The C.P. and Cornelia S. Chima Athletics Ticket Office at InfoCision Stadium - Summa Field (located at 375 E. Exchange Street, near Gate 1 at the southwest corner of the venue, at the corner of E. Exchange and S. Union streets) Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
