Akron and Ohio are meeting for the 68th time in program history, with the Bobcats owning a 46-21 series edge. Last season the Zips split the series with Ohio.

LAST TIME OUT
The Zips improved to 13-8 overall and 10-5 MAC after the Zips earned the season-sweep over over rival Kent State, the first season sweep since the 2015-16 season. In a season abounding with standout performances, redshirt senior forward Jordyn Dawson painted a masterpiece in driving her squad to a win a Wagon Wheel Challenge battle. Her 30 points, eight rebounds, four assists, four steals and two blocked shots were the centerpiece of a victory that allowed the Zips to sweep the season series with their rivals and reach double digits in Mid-American Conference wins for the campaign.

Akron led the entire second half, pulling ahead by as many as 12, and never allowed the visitors to get closer than three points the rest of the way. Dawson had plenty of help from freshman forward Reagan Bass (Strongsville, Ohio) (18 points, nine rebounds) and junior guard Kendall Miller (Akron, Ohio) (eight points, three steals) in the win.

- Akron has connected on five or more three-pointers in 15 games this season, and 46 of its last 52 contests overall. The Zips hit on a season-high 13 triples in a 97-54 win over Slippery Rock, the best single-game effort for Akron since making 16 three-pointers in the opening round of the 2018 Mid-American Conference Tournament on March 5, 2018.

 SCOUTING OHIO
The Bobcats, stand 13-10 overall and 7-7 in conference play under the direction of 9th-year head coach Bob Boldob after earning an 82-69 victory over BG on Saturday. Gabby Burris put up a career-high 26 points in Ohio's 82-69 win against Bowling Green on Saturday, shooting 10 for 15 from the field. Erica Johnson added 17 points, and Cece Hooks put up a statline of 16 points, six rebounds, and seven assists. The Ohio victory also achieved a milestone, as head coach Bob Boldon's picked up his 100th MAC win during his tenure in Athens.

OU is averaging 75.7 points per game on 41.6 percent shooting (611-1469) from the floor and 209-630 shooting (33.2 percent) from long range, ranking second in the MAC. The Bobcats have a trio of players averaging in double-figures. Cece Hooks leads the Bobcats and is second in the MAC in scoring at 22.4 points per game. Erica Johnson is averaging 17 points per game, while Gabby Burris is averaging 14.8.
