2021 ACADEMIC ALL-MAC WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RELEASE

CLEVELAND, Ohio -Â The University of Akron women's cross country team earned five selections when the Mid-American Conference released its 2021 Women's Cross Country Academic All-MAC team on Tuesday, Jan. 11.

In all, 87 student-athletes from 12 conference institutions were honored including seniors Hannah Long (Pacific, Mo.), Lindsey Scarton (Berea, Ohio) and Alyssa Thomas (Green, Ohio), redshirt sophomore Kyra Keurentjes (Wehl. The Netherlands) and sophomore Sophia Leto (Mt. Orab, Ohio).

To qualify for the Academic All-MAC Teams, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the scheduled contests and/or completed at the league championship in the particular sport.
