AKRON, Ohio – Akron sophomore Jessica Hahn (Canton, Ohio) fired a career-low opening round 3-under par 69 en route to a team-best 146 (+2) 36-hole ledger at the Nittany Lion Invitational on Saturday.

Hahn registered five birdies to go along with 11 par scores and two bogeys at6 Penn State's 6,115-yard, Par-72 White Course.

After 18 holes, Akron posted a 1-over par 289 team total as graduate transfer Ke'Asha Phillips (Owensboro, Ky.) carded an even-par 72 in her debut with the Blue and Gold. Juniors Jacinta Pikunas (Youngstown, Ohio) and Ivana Shah (Mumbai, India) added a pair of 2-over par 74 performances to round out the Zips' initial round scoring.

Akron entered the second 18-hole round third overall in the 14-team field as Shah and sophomore Jennifer David (Hudson, Ohio) posted 1-over par 73 efforts. The Zips finished the day ranked seventh overall with a 589 (+13) team tally as Hahn and Phillips added 77 (+5) scores.

Hahn enters Sunday's final 18-hole round tied for 18th overall on the individual leaderboard followed by Shah (t-23rd), David (t-30th), Phillips (t-35th) and Pikunas (t-53rd). Senior Abbie Pearce (Green, Ohio) competed as an individual and carded 75-81 – 156 (+12) two-round total, ranking tied for 71st overall.

Penn State leads the field by nine strokes, recording a 286-281 - 567 (-9) as the Nittany Lions' Mathilde Delavallade (-7, 69-68Â - 137) and Sarah Willis (-6, 72-66Â - 138) sit atop the individual leaderboard at first and second, respectively.
