Eleven Zips Earn Men’s Academic All-MAC Outdoor Track and Field Accolades

2021 ACADEMIC ALL-MAC OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD RELEASE
CLEVELAND, Ohio - The University of Akron men's outdoor track and field team earned 11 selections when the Mid-American Conference released its 2021 Men's Outdoor Track and Field Academic All-MAC team on Thursday, Aug. 12.
In all, 71 student-athletes from five conference institutions were honored including seniors Hesham Eldesouky (Nasr City, Egypt), Brandon Hochbein (Sarver, Pa.) and Patrick Kimball (Pittsburgh, Pa.), redshirt junior Ryan Kilhoffer (Johnsonburg, Pa.), juniors Nuh Andu (Doha, Qatar), Oliver Huffman (Augusta, Ga.) and Jacob Hutcherson (Uniontown, Ohio) and sophomores Robert Artrip (Independence, Ohio), William Gross (Newfane, N.Y.), Avalonn Harper (Wooster, Ohio) and Blake Lucius (Crestline, Ohio).
To qualify for the Academic All-MAC Teams, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the scheduled contests and/or completed at the league championship in the particular sport.
