2021 ACADEMIC ALL-MAC MEN'S SOCCER RELEASE
CLEVELAND, Ohio - The University of Akron men's soccer team earned six selections when the Mid-American Conference released its 2021 Men's Soccer Academic All-MAC team on Thursday, Dec. 23.
In all, 57 student-athletes from seven conference institutions were honored including seniors Will Meyer (Solon, Ohio) and Diogo Pacheco (Lisbon, Portugal), junior Carlo Ritaccio (Westbury, N.Y.), sophomores Johnny Fitzgerald (Tallahassee, Fla.) and Josef Paulus (Hinckley, Ohio) and second-year freshman Jason Shokalook (Erie, Pa.).
To qualify for the Academic All-MAC Teams, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the scheduled contests and/or completed at the league championship in the particular sport.
