AKRON, Ohio- The Akron volleyball team (10-20, 4-14 MAC) dropped its final match of the regular season, 3-1 (21-25, 19-25, 25-22, 24-26) against Buffalo on Wednesday night at James A. Rhodes Arena.

Despite the Zips' win in set three, the Bulls were able to hold off an Akron comeback in a fourth set that saw 19 tied scores and five lead changes and capitalize on the 23 Zip attack errors for the match victory.

Sophomore Faith Johnson (Naperville, Ill.) led the Zips' offense with 18 kills on a .326 hitting percentage, while senior Alexis Adleta (West Chester, Ohio) rounded out the double-digit kills with 13. Senior Emily Weigand (Burton, Ohio) led the team with 47 assists and two service aces.

Akron's defense above the net was effective as the team collected 16 blocks. Senior Megan Kelly (Lakewood, Ill.) led the defense with seven block assists, with one solo, while senior Teagan Ochaya (Mentor, Ohio) had four block assists.
